BRAZIL ACCEPTS FIFA DEMANDS

Brazil has finally decided to comply with the rules and the relations imposed by FIFA for the 2013 Confederations Cup and also the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Brazil have the regulation that they will not sell alcohol outside the stadiums due to the violence problems that it causes amongst people.

However, FIFA have insisted that alcohol should be a major part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup because one of the major sponsors of FIFA is an alcohol brewing company. Initially, Brazil opposed to the idea of going back on the decision to not sell alcohol stadiums, but have finally decided to comply with the regulations of FIFA.

They have recently passed a law through the Senate that will allow sale of alcohol outside the stadiums. However, Brazil have once again reiterated that alcohol will be allowed to be sold only on the grounds where the World Cup will be taking place.

VALCKE UNSURE ON PREPARATIONS

FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke has said that he is not sure of the reasons for the lack of operations being undertaken by the Brazilian government in order to be prepared for the 2014 World Cup.

Unlike any other World Cup tournament, this World Cup has been awarded to Brazil after being unanimously decided by the countries in the South American continent.

As a result, there have been suggestions that Brazil do not fully grasp the situation at the doorstep. Preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup is yet to begin at full swing.

Speaking at an interview given in London, FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke said that preparations are extremely poor at the South American continent. He also expressed his doubts over the ability of Brazil to host the World Cup. One of the big things that will certainly aid Brazil is the fact that they will be hosting a number of major tournaments without any gap.

FIFA SAYS BEER MUST BE SOLD

FIFA has said that beer must definitely be sold during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Brazil currently has a ban on the sale of beer or any other alcoholic substances near the stadium.

However, due to the fact that Budweiser is a major FIFA sponsor, FIFA have now said that beer must be sold without exception for the fans visiting the matches. Brazil banned the sale of beer and other alcoholic substances only a few years ago due to the problems it had been creating prior and after the matches. Even though the ban has not helped the case, the Brazilian government believed that it would be unnecessary to go back to the previous situation.
